Files & artifacts
Files and generated artifacts stay close to the work they support. Messages and tasks can carry file attachments, while conversations expose previews, snapshots, diffs, and browser-session artifacts in their artifact rails. File previews and version comparisons open in a resizable panel that keeps the surrounding work in view.

Attachments
Messages and tasks support file attachments. Select files or drag them onto the composer to upload them; Rukie stores the uploaded files through signed object-storage requests. The Files panel keeps file extensions visible and shows the full name when a long name is truncated. Agents can select image attachments as transient inputs for a turn, while durable conversation data keeps the attachment metadata rather than provider upload data.
Image previews
Images can be previewed in the workspace through on-the-fly signed transforms served by imgproxy. Shared image previews include zoom and pan controls, and SVG files fit the preview viewport.
File preview limits
Preview size limits depend on file type: PDFs up to 25 MB, Office documents up to 10 MB, and other text and document previews up to 500 KB. Files above the limit show a message that states it. Self-contained HTML pages render in a restricted static preview that blocks scripts and external resource loads.
Conversation snapshots
Room and task conversations can show point-in-time snapshots in the artifact rail when snapshots exist. Open a snapshot to inspect the stored conversation context.
Pull request and checkout diffs
Structured diff previews for GitHub pull requests and VM git checkouts are available from artifact rails and conversation links. See structured code review.
Attachment reviews
In rendered Markdown and DOCX previews, select text and add it to a message as a review target. Spreadsheet previews let you select a cell range instead. The message keeps the selected content tied to the attachment version it came from, so the agent can review the same source later.
When a newer Markdown or DOCX version exists, the review card can compare the pinned version with the current one. The preview panel can also compare compatible versions and files from the same room or task. Markdown comparisons show the rendered changes; DOCX comparisons show the document differences. Unsupported formats remain available as ordinary previews.
Browser session artifacts
Recordings, focused recording clips for specific time ranges, persisted timelines, and screenshots from agent browser sessions are synced to storage and viewable in artifact rails.
